Between heaven and earth in Söll

Hexenwasser Annual Theme: Summer 2026

High above, where Heaven and Earth seem to meet, new perspectives open up on nature, time, and mysticism. The construction and design of the new gondola to the Hohe Salve Summit inspired this year’s theme at Hexenwasser Söll:

Experience Hohe Salve

The Salven Giant – the silent guardian figure of Hexenwasser – tells his own legend and invites visitors to explore the space between myth and reality. Following the path of the sun, the Sun Dial Trail brings the history of timekeeping to life – a quiet language between heaven and earth.

Panoramic, culinary experiences await at the Gipfelalm Hohe Salve with its revolving terrace, as well as the unique Restaurant “Umadum Stubn”, both long-standing favourites for mountain dining.

Completing the experience is the striking Salvenkirchlein, Austria’s highest Pilgrimage Church, which has long attracted Pilgrims and those seeking peace and quiet.

New Station: Sky Labyrinth

The new Sky Labyrinth at the summit of the Hohe Salve is playful yet fascinating – a place where movement, orientation, and imagination blend together. Children can discover their sense of adventure, while adults are invited to pause and take in the vastness of the alpine landscape.

Sky Events 2026

Rich in astronomical highlights, 2026 promises extraordinary celestial phenomena – from possible auroras to the Summer Solstice on 20 June 2026 and a total solar eclipse on 12 August 2026.

New Gondola to Hohe Salve summit

In spring 2026, Bergbahnen Söll will reach another milestone in comfort, accessibility, and future readiness. The 8-seater gondola to the Hohe Salve will be extensively modernized and fitted with new cabins. Its redesigned concept also inspired this year’s theme: “Between Heaven and Earth.”
