Exciting new features also await visitors to the Hexenwasser-Söll, Ellmi's Magic World in Ellmau and the RiesenWelt in Brixen.
The Hochbrixen and Zinsbergbahn gondolas take you straight to the centre of the adventure: the Filzalm lake, a mountain lake and high moor, is full of secrets: curious visitors can search for the giant who is hiding in the Filzalm lake. Adventurous visitors can glide across the lake on a wooden raft, knock everything down in a game of skittles and cool off with the water jet, which is operated by an Archimedes screw. There is also plenty to discover and build in the giant sandpit – and who knows, you might even find a treasure or two.
The SkiWelt Lodge is located directly at the valley station of the SkiWelt cable car in Brixen and offers perfect access to the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental. A visit is therefore worthwhile at any time of year!
Once you have comfortably arrived at Hartkaiser (1,550 m) with the 10-person gondola lift, exciting adventures await explorers of all ages in the enchanted forest, alongside the fantastic views. There are numerous puzzles to solve on the adventure trails to discover the hidden secrets of the magical world. The 20 ponies in Going are sweet as sugar and perfect for exploring the Astberg mountain top. In addition, a large playground on the mountain invites all children to run around and have fun. The crystal-clear Astberg lake provides peace and relaxation in the beauty of nature. It is rightly called ‘the mirror of the Wilder Kaiser’, because on a clear summer's day, the silhouette of the mountain range is reflected on the surface of the lake.
At the 1,829-metre summit of the Hohe Salve, you can enjoy a 360° panoramic view of over 70 three-thousand-metre peaks. The highlight of the summit, which is easily accessible by gondola lift from Söll and Hopfgarten, is the rotating panoramic platform at the Hohe Salve summit restaurant. At Salvi's Kraxl Platzl, climbing and balancing stations await all active climbers. There is also something educational to be found on the Hohe Salve – on the sundial trail, 12 sundial stations explain the secrets of the sun, wind and weather, as well as the history of time measurement. Experience the magic of wind with the wind harp: wind transformed into music – pause and listen to the sounds of nature.
At the Brandstadl, with a view of the imposing Wilder Kaiser mountain range, past winding paths, secret tree houses and streams, you follow in the footsteps of the old emperor through the castle gate into the enchanted KaiserWald forest. Children can help find the emperor's lost gemstones. An unforgettable journey with countless adventures and puzzles awaits at the seven adventure stations, which provide clues to the whereabouts of the lost treasures. And those seeking nature and peace will find plenty of relaxing spots around the enchanting Jochstubn`n lake.
What child doesn't love playing with water? Numerous stations on the theme of water, the longest barefoot trail, singing bowls and witch's umbrellas invite you to come and explore. You can meet the witches in person at Hexenwasser and even make your own witchcraft on private HeXpeditions. The witches tell exciting stories about the old secrets, traditions and knowledge of the old ladies with their pointed hats and broomsticks who once lived on the mountain.
In summer 2025, Hexenwasser Söll invites visitors to discover the secrets of the soil. Guests can explore barfoot mystical worlds full of life, minerals and organic substances. Whether in the witch's workshop with earthworms, in the mushroom cellar of the Simonalm hut or getting creative in the arts and crafts hut – there is magic to be found everywhere. The nature trail will thrill visitors with underground passages, caves and slides. Those who feel grounded can finish off their experience by making the singing bowls under the witch's umbrellas vibrate.
Between the Talkaser and the Choralpe, clever foxes, nimble weasels and true explorers can go on an exciting journey in Alpinolino. On Spoggolino, the longest – and probably also the most fun – marble run in the Kitzbühel Alps, large wooden balls can be sent racing down the tracks.
Westendorf Mountain Railways is continuing to push ahead with its sustainability strategy and plans to install a 350 kW peak photovoltaic system at the valley station of the Choralmbahn gondola. This represents an important step towards energy-efficient and environmentally friendly mountain railway operations.
The popular 700-metre-long Spoggolino ball track at Alpinolino is getting a stylish new start feature and other exciting attractions along the route. Final plans are already underway to make the experience even more varied for adventurers of all ages.
The Westendorf mountain railways are investing specifically in sustainable mobility and now offer a large charging concept for electric vehicles directly at the Alpenrosenbahn valley station parking lot. A total of 24 modern 11kW charging stations are available to mountain railway visitors. What makes this special is that billing is based on the amount of electricity charged – not on time! Stefan Grafl, Managing Director of Westendorf Mountain Railways, is proud of the new project: ‘More and more guests are travelling by electric vehicle. That's why it's essential for us to guarantee them a modern, reliable infrastructure. The new charging stations have already been very well accepted.
