With 284 kilometres of slopes, all freshly prepared each day, SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser – Brixental is not just one of the largest and most modern ski resorts in the world – it can also offer an incredible range of activities! There are 90 state-of-the-art lifts to whisk visitors up to the slopes, and no fewer than 81 family-run huts, many hosting great events with live music, DJs and special shows. On top of all that, there are also great offers for all the family!
Discover one of the world’s largest and most modern ski resorts on the signposted SkiWelt Tour. This can be followed clockwise (green markings) or anticlockwise (orange markings). Skiers can get on or off at any point in SkiWelt and can of course also extend their SkiWelt Tour with various downhill runs. And, speaking of the wide range of pistes, SkiWelt contains no fewer than 21 downhill runs – more than any other ski area, so skiers can (if they so choose) plan routes each day that never use the same SkiWelt lift or piste twice.
Valid for almost the entire SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser – Brixental, the Winter Hiking Pass is an offer for all the family. The pass is available for 3-6 days, offering winter hikers and strollers the choice of 12 panoramic cable cars – an ideal way to enjoy the enchanting winter landscape in the mountains with the family, exploring the numerous winter hiking trails in SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser – Brixental and savouring genuine local delicacies at the many family-run mountain restaurants and huts. The Winter Hiking Pass is available from 7 December 2019 to 13 April 2020: it is valid on all lifts up to SkiWelt (except KiWest) and includes two ascents and descents a day (only for walkers without ski equipment!)
SkiWelt offers morning fun on the slopes for early risers: every Thursday from 30 January, selected pistes in the SkiWelt Brixen im Thale and SkiWelt Westendorf areas have early bird offers, with 22 kilometres of freshly groomed slopes for skiers to enjoy with the rising sun. The SkiWeltbahn, Sonnenlift, Choralmbahn, Alpenrosenbahn 1 & 2 and the Talkaserlift all start running from 7.30 a.m.
Enjoy a tour of SkiWelt Söll on a nine-tonne, 500 hp snow groomer. Tours are available from Wednesday to Friday from around the beginning of January to 14 March 2020. Participants meet at the middle station of SkiWelt Söll in front of the “Hexentopf” witch’s cauldron, at 3.45 p.m. until the end of January and at 4 p.m. from February on. Limited space means that reservations are absolutely necessary: call +43(0)5333 5260 4444 to book. The tour is followed by the chance of a stop for refreshments, then descent by gondola from 6.30 pm. There is also the option of taking a toboggan (not included in price) down on the illuminated “Hexenritt” toboggan run.
There are demonstrations of snow groomers (ride not included) on Tuesdays in the SkiWelt Brixen (meet at 10 a.m. at the top station of the Hochbrixen gondola) and SkiWelt Söll (meet at 2.30 p.m. at the witch’s cauldron) as well as on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in SkiWelt Scheffau (meet at 11 a.m. at the Südhang top station).
