We look positively into the future:

The new Salvista gondola lift at SkiWelt Itter can be built.

Winter sports enthusiasts will be thrilled - despite COVID_19 the construction of the new Salvista Panorama gondola lift can begin, thus securing many jobs even in difficult times.

At the beginning of the COVID-19 preventive measures implemented from 15 March, those responsible at the Hohe Salve Hopfgarten-Itter mountain railways were faced with major challenges. Can the new Salvistabahn be built at all or will it have to be postponed? The situation was not easy for anyone. To what extent can employees continue to work at all or are partner companies allowed to work at all. When will they be allowed to enter and work in Tyrol, the province with the strictest rules? What additional security measures must be taken to ensure this?

However, it is precisely in difficult times that it pays off all the more to have many long-standing, motivated and outstanding specialists in your own company. In addition, as in the past, the cable car company relied on regional and Austrian partners in construction and trade companies for this major project, the renewal of the Salvistabahn and other trades. So the construction could be started on 14.04.

The old Salivista gondola is still in use

As has been the case with most of the lifts in the SkiWelt over the last few years and decades, the old Salvistabahn from 1989 was sold on together with its supports and is now being used again elsewhere.

The new Salvistabahn will use the same route to the middle station, and by extending it by 650m it will open up the Kleine Salve. A new storage lake and technical centre is being built just below the top station. In the valley station building, the infrastructure with sports shop, ski rental and ski depot will be completely renovated. The Hohe Salve Hopfgarten - Itter mountain railways are particularly keen to improve public transport connections and ski bus services for locals and guests alike. Public mobility is our future and SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental has been paying great attention to improving connections and creating new offers here for years. The focus of this building is therefore also on creating more comfort and further expanding circulation within SkiWelt.

The anticipation increases! The Hohe Salve Hopfgarten-Itter cable cars are already inviting all interested parties to the start of the new Salvista Panorama cable car season.
